Emily Burkholder, CRNP, MSN, joined as a member of the May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology team, located in Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Ephrata, Intercourse, Willow Street, Pennsylvania in 2009. As a certified registered nurse practitioner Emily provides prenatal and gynecological care. Emily finds it a privilege to educate women about their bodies and empower them to make informed decisions about their health. She enjoys working with women throughout all stages of life. She is especially gifted at communicating with mothers and daughters about the changes that occur during puberty and adolescence. Emily runs a Pre-Teen Talk regularly at the Good Drive Office. This is a chance for girls 9-12ish and an adult support person to talk about what to expect as their bodies change.
Emily’s education began at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing with her master’s degree and certification. Throughout her education and professional career, Emily has held a special interest in postpartum depression, sexual health, and birth control options. Emily speaks conversational Spanish. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.
Emily lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with her high school sweetheart. They have five daughters, three of whom are triplets! When she isn’t providing patient care, Emily enjoys spending time with her family.
