May-Grant Update about Appointments

As the situation with Covid-19 continues to evolve, May-Grant is continuing to make adjustments. Here are some things to keep in mind.

In order to keep our patients, staff, and providers as safe as possible, we will be moving to a two-team model which allows our staff and providers to stay out of the office and hospital for the 14-day incubation period of the virus. This will allow us to monitor for symptoms and avoid transmission to each other and to patients.

Additionally, to encourage physical distancing, we are encouraging use of all our satellite offices. You may be asked if you can drive a bit further for your appointment to be seen in one of our seven locations in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

This will mean that if you have an appointment in the office or a televisit, you will likely not be seen by the provider with whom you originally scheduled.

Because of the necessity to screen patients as they enter our facilities, we are also unable to offer all our extended hours, such as evening and Saturday. This means, if your visit can wait until after the crisis has passed, you will be contacted to cancel your appointment. If you feel you need to be seen urgently or can have your visit virtually through a televisit, we will do our very best to accommodate you.

In accordance with guidance to postpone routine care and screenings, mammograms are not being performed at any facilities. So, if you scheduled a mammogram beginning at the end of April, your appointment will be canceled. When this situation is resolved, we will be rescheduling your mammogram in our new breast imaging suite.
